Jack engages the audience in a powerful dialogue on “What Great Leaders Do” to gain a competitive edge. Participants leave the dynamic session with increased confidence to take on challenging leadership roles and a framework to guide their leadership decisions, thereby enhancing their leadership impact immediately.
In this highly engaging workshop, Jack explores the multiple levers – beyond mission, values, and leadership behavior – that impact an organization’s culture. In addition to understanding the various levers that influence culture, Jack prepares participants to deliver specific strategies to immediately reinforce your most critical cultural tenets, resulting in a stronger culture that delivers better results.
What does a great Human Capital team deliver? Jack has spent his career helping businesses across multiple industries achieve their operating goals through his expertise in Human Capital and broader operational leadership. In this fast-paced workshop, Jack delves into what businesses need to win and how Human Capital teams play an essential role in delivering on that mission. The session covers a wide array of important topics, and participants walk away with practical solutions on how to better leverage the Human Capital function to reach business goals.
Great things are achieved when leaders inspire their teams to exert tremendous discretionary effort towards the mission. Too often, we focus solely on expectations for great leaders and fail to create an environment that fosters high expectations for team members. Participants will walk out of this session with a framework for reviewing expectations with every team member, resulting in increased employee engagement and improved operational performance.
Attrition is the ultimate “lag metric,” and once it picks up steam, it is hard to stop. Proactivity is key in managing talent and retention strategies, and it goes beyond pay and manager training. In this seminar, Jack delves into the four legs of “The Retention Stool” and identifies pitfalls that cause talent to leave great organizations. All four legs need to be present, or you will start to bleed talent. You will walk out of this session with a list of specific actions to reduce unwanted attrition.
I find many leadership principles to be timeless, and “Valuing Diversity as a Competitive Advantage” is one of them. As I wrote in Why Diversity Matters Beyond the Important Moral High Ground | LinkedIn (2016): 1) You need to celebrate diversity to have a functioning meritocracy; 2) Diverse teams outperform less diverse teams; and 3) Promoting diversity is the only way to win the war for talent. Although the principles are timeless, the strategy and execution must be contemporary and tailored to the current cultural context. In this seminar, Jack jumps into how to execute a diversity strategy that delivers results and brings everyone along for the ride.
