Amber Kagan is the founder of LevelUp Executive Coaching and Advising and a Senior Advisor with the International Center for Executive Options (ICEO). In these roles, Amber works with senior leaders as a coach and strategic advisor, helping them lead more effectively, navigate complex transitions, manage through change, and shape high-integrity, people-centered organizations. Amber brings to her coaching practice nearly four decades of experience at the highest levels of law, compliance, and employment strategy, offering deep expertise in corporate governance, risk management, labor and employment law, leadership development, and organizational culture.

Most recently, Amber served as Chief Compliance Officer and Global Head of Labor & Employment Law at GE, where she was responsible for leading the global compliance and labor and employment functions. In this dual role, she ensured compliance with global employment laws, led internal investigations, engaged with employee representative bodies, and collaborated closely with senior executives and the Board to strengthen GE’s integrity-driven culture. She played a pivotal role in supporting the company’s historic split and was tapped to stand up GE Vernova’s corporate compliance and Labor & Employment programs.

Earlier, Amber was Deputy General Counsel and Global Head of Labor & Employment for GE Capital, where she led the L&E, Ombuds, Privacy, and Legal Operations functions. Prior to joining GE, she spent 21 years at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where she was a partner and leader of the New York Labor and Employment Practice Group. During her tenure, she also served on the New York Office Management Committee and the firm-wide Legal Personnel Committee, contributing to the leadership and strategic direction of the 500-person New York office.

Amber earned her JD, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her BA in Psychology, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is admitted to the New York State Bar.
